Deer Hunter Funny Story

One morning Si Kabayan and his father-in-law were awake, because that day people were going to hunt deer. 

The villagers were ready, wearing knee-length shorts, long machetes hanging to the left of their waists. 

Some people carry spears. The dogs barked loudly, as if eager to catch their prey in the forest. 

Seeing that others were ready, Si Kabayan was unfazed. He was casual, still wearing his sarong. 

The other person carried a machete, he only carried a slashing knife. 

"Why do you carry a slashing knife, Kabayan?" someone asked. 

"To slice a deer," he replied. 

They went hunting. Arriving in the forest, they started looking for deer in the bushes. 

The dogs barked from the west, from the north, from the east. People were screaming. Some people intercept in the south. 

While Si Kabayan separated himself. He was standing under a guava tree looking up, looking for ripe guavas. 

Suddenly there was a scream, “Intercept…!” Kabayan looked. It turned out that the stag was running out of the bush. His horns cracked. 

Si Kabayan doesn't know the shape of the deer yet. According to his estimation the deer was as big as a lamb. 

Therefore, when he saw an animal such as a horse and horns, he ran away in fear while climbing a guava tree. 

He couldn't reach the high branch because it was blocked by the sheath he was wearing. 

He was holding on to the lowest branch, its scabbard hanging down. 

It just so happened that a deer ran under him. Si Kabayan closed his eyes, feeling frightened by the sharp deer's antlers. 

Si Kabayan was surprised when he felt someone pulling the sheath. When seen, it turns out that the deer's antlers are entangled in the sheath. 

The deer was restrained, then went berserk to release the antlers. There was a heavy breath.

Si Kabayan held on tighter, the deer got angrier, it caused its horns to become more tightly entangled by the sheath. Kabayan is getting worried, his face is pale. 

"Please…help…. I was hit by a deer…!" he cried anxiously for help. 

Soon people came. Seeing the deer that was running amok, without hesitation they speared it. The deer rolled over. 

People slashed it with machetes. The deer were disabled. Si Kabayan lay beside him with a gasping breath. 

"How did you catch such a big deer, Kabayan?" They were surprised. 

Kabayan stood up slowly, grinning, “Ah, that's easy. The deer ran through under the guava tree, I intercepted him. When it is close, then I cover the horns using a sarong. Look, the sheath is torn and damaged. After covering the sheath it's not difficult, just twist the horns." 

Everyone shook their heads. Si Kabayan just smiled while stroking his scratched knee. 

The deer were snubbed by everyone. Then Si Kabayan came home carrying a deer's thigh while whistling.
